TRANSLATION SERVICES AVAILABLE

To support our callers and clients for whom English is not their primary language the Parenting Stress Helpline, as well as clinicians, can easily access a translation service via the phone 24-hours per day, 7 days per week. The phone translation service provides translation in over 400 languages.

The Family Paths office in Oakland is in the Grove Building at 1727 Martin Luther King Jr. Way. The building is a two story building, on the corner of 18th Street. The entrance into the building parking lot is on 18th Street, next to the Chevron gas station. There is free parking for clients and visitors in the lot, with a designated spot for disabled drivers. The first floor is ADA compliant, and if you have any special needs, please let your counselor know.

By BART:

We are three blocks west of 19th Street BART Station. Take the Telegraph Avenue exit and walk down 18th Street. The building is directly in front of you.

By Car:

Coming from Freeways 24 and 580, take the 18th Street exit on Freeway 980. Turn left on 17th Street, left again on Martin Luther King, Jr. Way, and a left onto 18th Street, and a final left into the building parking lot. On Oakland surface streets, from Lake Merritt take 19th Street towards West Oakland.

By Bus:

Routes 18/ 72/ 72M/ 72R/ 802: Alight at Alameda County Social Services Building or The Greyhound Station on Thomas L. Berkley Way. For all AC Transit routes that run down Telegraph Avenue and Broadway, get off at the old Sear’s Building and walk two/three blocks from there.

The Family Paths office in Hayward is in the Plaza Center Building at 22320 Foothill Blvd, Suite 400. We are located on the southeast corner of the Safeway shopping center complex in the large six story structure called the Plaza Center, on Foothill Blvd. and City Center Drive. If driving, access to the main client parking is directly outside the main door, and there are two disabled driver spaces. Access to the lot is at the junction of 2nd Street and City Center Drive, and if this lot is full, exit the lot then turn right down the ramp. There is a large overflow parking lot between the 4C’s building and Chase Bank. Pedestrian access from there is a stairway next to Quiznos. Enter the building under the sign that says “Lobby”.

If walking from old Maple Court office:

Turn left coming out from our old building, and follow City Center Drive around to the right.
You need to cross Foothill Blvd at the traffic light to the Chase Bank. Our new office is on the Hayward Plaza Center and behind the Chase Bank and 4Cs (Community Child Care Council). Go up the steps next to Quiznos.

By BART:

From Hayward BART, take Bus Route 48 directly to Plaza Center. For Bus Routes 32, 60, 94 and 95, get off bus at 2nd Street and walk two blocks along 2nd Street to the Plaza Center.

By Car:

From 880, exit on A Street, proceed to Foothill Blvd. and turn left. Stay in right lane, then right turn onto City Center Drive and left at 2nd Street into the Plaza Center parking lot.
From 580 Oakland (Eastbound), exit 238 Hayward. This turns into Foothill Blvd.
Go past first City Center Drive on the left and take second City Center Drive on the left. Take first left at 2nd Street into the Plaza Center parking lot.
From 580 Pleasanton (Westbound), exit Strobridge. Turn right when exiting. Turn Left on Castro Valley Blvd. Turn left on Foothill Blvd. Go past first City Center Drive on the left and take second City Center Drive on the left. Take first left at 2nd Street into the Plaza Building parking lot.
From Fremont, continue on Mission Blvd (Northbound), stay in the right lane and turn right onto Foothill Blvd. Pass D, C, B and A Streets, and Russell St. then turn right on City Center Drive and left at 2nd Street into the Plaza Center parking lot.

By Bus:

Routes 22, 32, 48, 60, 83, 85, 93, 94, 95, 99 and 801 all go to downtown Hayward and pass within one or two blocks of The Plaza Center.
