And now a heartfelt letter from Barbra Silver, Family Paths’ Executive Director.
Dear Friends of Family Paths,
Empower. Support. Heal. These are the goals we have every day when working with families. Over the past year, we have continued to see the impacts of trauma, grief, and stress ripple across the lives of so many around us. We also saw that more people than ever are trying to find help, and sometimes not knowing where to turn.
Family Paths continues to be here for parents, children and youth to help them through their hardest moments. When other doors are closed, our 24/7 Parenting Stress Helpline is open. Our parenting classes are filled and expanding, and we are reaching young parents, some as young as 14, to set in place the foundation for strong families in the future.
Most of our clients experience the impacts of poverty, violence, racism, and housing insecurity. However, when parents and youth are empowered with knowledge and skills, supported to believe in themselves and their strengths, and have access to necessary basic needs, they and those around them can avoid crisis and their lives improve.
I invite you to invest in the future of children and families today. Every dollar you donate fills gaps to provide support for those who need it most. Together, family by family, healing occurs, and our community gets stronger.
On behalf of all of us at Family Paths and the children, youth, and parents who we walk besides, we thank you for your generosity and wish you a safe and healthy holiday season.
~Barbra Silver, Executive Director
