New Executive Director Announced
February 19, 2016
The Board of Directors of Family Paths is pleased to announce the appointment of Barbra Silver, MFT, as Executive Director following a national search. Barbra emerged as the candidate best qualified to lead Family Paths forward in fulfilling its mission to support low-income families in Alameda County by providing mental health treatment and supportive services with respect, integrity, compassion, and hope.
Barbra is passionate about her commitment to Alameda County families and to Family Paths, where she was served since 1998. She rose quickly from her initial position as a Medi-Cal Specialist in the then-new Families in Transition (FIT) Program to FIT Program Manager and then became Clinical Director in 2006. She has served as Interim Executive Director since July 2015. In that capacity, she has skillfully navigated an unexpected leadership transition while building on the strong institutional culture and performance record that Family Paths achieved during Marcella Reeves’ tenure as Executive Director.
The Family Paths Board has the utmost confidence in Barbra and invites you to join us in congratulating and supporting her in her new role.
Sincerely,
Willard Ogan
Family Paths Board President
